  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Place unopened can on dish in crockpot to prevent rust stains from getting on the bottom of your crockpot; I used a glass bread pan.
  2. Put enough water in the crockpot to cover the can.
  3. Turn the crockpot on low; cover. Let cook for 3-8 hours in the crockpot. I let ours go closer to the 8 hour mark.

Recipe Notes

As you can see in the last picture, the can definitely left a rust ring on the glass, and even that took some scrubbing to get off. Make sure you put the can on something so it won’t stain your crockpot. I tried two different brands of sweetened condensed milk, just to see if there was a difference. The consistency of Nestle Carnation was very smooth, just like what I was expecting. I also tried Eagle Brand and it was more the consistency of sour cream, but the taste itself was similar.

  1. Place chicken in the crockpot.
  2. Pour pesto, ranch dressing mix, and chicken broth over top and gently stir together; cover.
  3. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.

  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 pound uncooked boneless top round roast of beef thinly sliced and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 cups broccoli chopped
  • 6 servings of rice

Instructions

  1. Add the broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and garlic to the crock pot; mix together.
  2. Add the beef; stir until coated.
  3. Turn crock pot on low; cover.
  4. Cook for 6 hours, or until the beef is cooked.
  5. Remove 1/2 cup of the liquid from the crock pot and mix together with the cornstarch.
  6. Add the cornstarch mixture back to the crock pot; stir thoroughly.
  7. Add in the frozen broccoli; stir until coated.
  8. Return the lid to the crock pot and cook for 30 minutes.
  9. Meanwhile, prepare rice according to package directions.
  10. Evenly divide rice on 4 plates.
  11. Spoon beef and broccoli over the rice, drizzling some of the liquid from the crock pot over top.
